While driving in the bus you see a change of scenery, from very flat land to a few mountains and then we saw the sea and new we are almost there.

We walked away from the many Tuk Tuk drivers and one followed us who we then agreed on a price and who drove us to a Guesthouse close to Occheuteal Beach.

As it was still early we got settled and then went to the beach. We were surprised to see so many children vendors, hawkers, women offering manicures(...) and beggars who lost limps. It also seems that some have a double occupation, first they offer sunglasses and if you say no (because you actually wearing a pair at the moment) they show you a package from their trousers pockets and offer weed. So we decided to walk around the beach to get an overview. The beach was very dirty with a lot of rubbish. We continued to walk and reached Serendipity Beach, that is more rocky but cleaner and less crowded.

There are a lot of places with seafood barbecues for $ 3 per person. We walked passed a restaurant and a pleasant lady approached us to come in. We had a mixed seafood platter (white fish, squid and shrimp) with potato and salad. Really delicious!

After a sleepless night due to Champion League, Munich against Chelsea. Everybody knows the outcome! It felt like a nightmare! That Sunday we sleep in until 12 noon and then went to the beach.

In the beginning we were bombarded with local people to make money with us and after a while it ebbed away, but it never really stopped. Very hard to relax, but the chair under an umbrella for a few drinks is a deal.

So we waited for Monday to get our Vietnam Visa. In the morning we walked to the embassy to realize that we forgot our passports. So Robert jumped on a moto to get the passports. 15 minutes later he was back and 5 minutes after we filled out a forms and handed it in together with our passport photos (1 each) and the passport (cost of $ 45 each) we had the Vietnam visa.
As we did not like the place so much we did no even go to the "Outres Beach" that is 5 km away and suppose to be beautiful. We checked out and where on a mini van to Kampot at 11:30.

Warning:
Other travelers brought to our attention that they witnessed a person on a motorbike drive past tourists on the beach and they snatched their backpacks and drove off. So it is best to only take the money needed to the beach! $1 per drink and you can use the reclining chair from the restaurant.
