After our fantastic and unforgettable trip around Tasmania we came back to Michael and Paul's place, the "Huon Bush Retreat". We were able to stay in one of the cabins and were so spoiled by it's beauty and luxury. After unpacking the car and cleaning it up a little bit, we enjoyed a Boags beer and Chrisy a cider and had dinner together.
I was already excited about having an outside bath that night and it was a beautiful night with many stars on the sky. It was just beautiful and romantic. Even when a possum came and wanted to bite into our toes. It was very curious and fearless and came close. Too close for our taste and it took us some time and effort to scare it away. This is what you get when you want to enjoy a bath in the middle of the night in the middle of the bush!
I helped Paul with the installation of his new wind generator on top of the reception roof. It was a hot day with blue sky.
We met Ross who was WWOOF'ing with them and had a great time and conversations with him. One of my last jobs was to find a box which was big enough to fit a digerido inside plus all the camping gear and warm cloths we wanted to send back home to Germany. It was hard to find a box with this measurements, so I had to take several boxes and attach them together. Thanks to duck tape, no problem! It's now shipping on the ocean after the post office didn't want to take it in the first place. They said it's too high. I asked if they recommended to cut my digerido in two pieces to make it fit?!? One of the agents was in good hope that it would get through and took it for us. Uffff.

On the last day a lady came and had a baby wallaby which some workers found in a dead mothers pouch. Paul is always prepared for such a situation and had a small pouch he place the cute looking fellow inside and put the pouch in his shirt to give the impression as if he was his mother now. Chrisy trained as well. I think she looks very professional and she is ready for the deal.

Now the other wallabies have a new friend to play. I hope they share some of their "wallaby musli". This are some of the older ones which come for regular visits.

The little one became the savage name of "Slasher",as he was found by one. I love it! He is probably 6 month old, has plenty of healthy looking fur and good chances of survival and a caring home. I would have loved to see him grow up.

Next morning we had to say goodbye to Tassie and drive to the airport to catch our flight to Sydney. It's been an incredible time and we want to thank all our friends for their love which we were able to experience.
Hope to see you all soon!
